The 7th Asian Winter Games is to open on the 30th January 2011 in Astana.
Competitions will be held both in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan and Almaty, the major city and business as well as cultural center of the country.
The flame of the Games was officially lit at Kuwait Towers, Kuwait City on January 11, 2011 and it from the Home of the Olympic Council of Asia in Almaty 12th January.
The Asian Games Torch started its Kazakhstan journey the 12th January 2011 from Almaty. Now the Torch is on its way to Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan.
