The current time in Kazakhstan can either be GMT +4, GMT +5 or GMT +6. How? Kazakhstan covers two time zones as shown below on the map of Kazakhstan and it stopped observing the Daylight Saving Time (DST) since 2005.

Therefore, time difference in winter and summer may vary depending on the country you live in. In winter time difference between London and Astana is GMT +6 and in summer GMT +5.

If you take another city, say, Atyrau, which is located on a different time zone from Astana and compare it to London time, the difference in winter is GMT +5 and in summer GMT +4.

So, please be careful on the dates in March and April when the DST changes occur. Double check the time in Kazakhstan and don't be late to work or any meetings. Especially, don't miss your planes, trains and buses.

Time in Astana and Almaty is the same

The old capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty Time Zone is the same as Astana Time Zone. So there is no time difference between them two.
