Some Background Information on Kazakhstan Hotels
On my online travels, as well as some very positive reviews about hotels in Kazakhstan, I come across some negative ones too.
Although I do understand your frustration, I would like that you too should undestand that Kazakhstan has only been properly and independently developing its hotel and tourism sectors of economy for the last decade or so. That's since the collapse of the USSR.
Therefor when in Kazakhstan you have either very new hotels or post-soviet hotels. So majority of not too happy reviews are usually about the older hotels.
So I think if you give them less than a decade and keep giving your honest reviews, I am sure they will quickly catch up with their rich rival sharks to conform their high standards. So that next time you come you'll enjoy the quality service and moderate prices. ;)
